1. How to report
Send your report by email to abuse@nebulanodes.cloud. This address is our electronic point of contact for notices of illegal content within the meaning of Art. 16 of the Digital Services Act (DSA) and for authorities (Art. 11 DSA). Reports can be written in English or German.
Customers can also open a support ticket with the category "Abuse" in the dashboard. In an emergency involving a threat to life or safety, please contact the police first.
2. What you can report
- Illegal content (e.g. content harmful to minors, extremist content, hate speech)
- Attacks coming from our network: DDoS, port or vulnerability scans, brute-force attempts
- Spam, phishing or malware distribution
- Copyright or trademark infringement (e.g. pirated plugins, mods or maps)
- Fraud, scams or the sale of stolen accounts
- Cryptocurrency mining or other misuse of our resources
Problems with the behaviour of players or staff on a Minecraft server (e.g. bans or griefing) are a matter for the respective server operator. Please contact them directly.
3. What your report should include
So we can act quickly, please include:
- The affected server address, e.g. utopia.nebulanodes.cloud:25565, or the IP address and port
- What happened and why you consider it illegal or abusive – as precisely as possible
- Date, time and time zone of the incident
- Evidence such as logs, screenshots or links (for attacks: source/destination IPs, ports, protocol and timestamps)
- Your name and email address, so we can confirm receipt and inform you about our decision (not required for reports of child sexual abuse material)
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete
4. What happens next
We confirm receipt of reports with contact details without undue delay. Reports are reviewed by our team in a timely, diligent and objective manner; attacks originating from our network are handled with priority, usually within a few hours.
Depending on the case we may contact the customer, remove content, restrict or suspend the affected server or terminate the contract in accordance with our terms of service. The customer concerned is informed of any restriction and the reasons for it (Art. 17 DSA), unless this would hinder the prosecution of a criminal offence. We inform you of our decision and of the available means of redress.
Where there is information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of persons, we inform the competent law enforcement authorities (Art. 18 DSA).
5. Objections
If your server was restricted following a report and you disagree with the decision, you can object via a support ticket or by email to abuse@nebulanodes.cloud within six months. Objections are reviewed by a member of staff who was not involved in the original decision.
6. Misuse of the reporting system
Reports must be made in good faith. If someone repeatedly submits manifestly unfounded reports, we may stop processing their reports for a reasonable period after a prior warning (Art. 23 DSA).
7. Data protection
We process the data in your report solely to handle it and to document our decision. Details can be found in our privacy policy. We do not pass on your identity to the customer concerned unless this is required by law.
